The iPad has finally made its international debut, meaning that thousands and thousands of new users will be enjoying Apple’s latest device over the coming weeks.
With the launch of the iPad comes the international launch of the iPad App Store, making it possible for us to play Words With Friends with our friends in Australia.
There are already thousands of apps available in the App Store, and with the exception of apps focused on media services like Netflix, ABC or Pandora, most are also available internationally.
We’ve been fortunate enough to have the iPad in our screen-smudging paws for the past two months and in that time we’ve surveyed well over 100 apps and games for the new platform. Tengu, named after the Japanese god of mischief (aha! I knew there was a god that was doing that!), is also a little device that plugs into your USB port and makes faces at any ambient noise in what I can only presume is an attempt to get me to look over.
You know those fish, you try to walk by their tank and ignore them and they make that O-O-O face and poof their cheeks out and back in, as if to say “What are YOU?” when it’s clear IT’S the weird-looking thing?

If you haven’t heard already, 5 states have already enacted laws to ban cell phone use when driving your car unless you are using a hands free device such as a bluetooth headset enabled phone.
The five 5 states are California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York or Washington. It will be illegal to operate a phone while driving without a hands-free headset in many more states to come so this is definitely a good time to get one and avoid the tickets.
