Apple CEO Steve told that “just 28 days after its introduction,” Apple sold its millionth iPad. 1.5 million ebooks have already been downloaded to the device, along with 12 million apps.

Apple says: iPad allows users to connect with their apps and content in a more intimate, intuitive and fun way than ever before. Users can browse the web, read and send email, enjoy and share photos, watch HD videos, listen to music, play games, read ebooks and much more, all using iPad’s revolutionary Multi-Touch™ user interface. iPad is 0.5 inches thin and weighs just 1.5 pounds-thinner and lighter than any laptop or netbook-and delivers up to 10 hours of battery life.*

Developers have created over 5,000 exciting new apps for iPad that take advantage of its Multi-Touch user interface, large screen and high-quality graphics. iPad will run almost all of the more than 200,000 apps on the App Store, including apps already purchased for your iPhone® or iPod touch®.

As Microsoft’s always said about its Kin phones that they would come to Verizon in May and Vodafone in the fall, and now it looks like an internal Verizon email has spilled the details (Engadget shown publically).

Kin One and Kin Two will go up for pre-order on May 6th, and they will launch to all channels on May 13th,” according to the screen-shots. We can’t confirm it yet, but hope to see soon. I’m very excited about it, are you?

Bluetooth 4.0 technology ImageThe next generation of Bluetooth technology i.e. “Bluetooth 4.0” should complete sometime in June 2010. The new Bluetooth 4.0 is exciting for two main reasons:
  1. Low-power consumption
  2. And high speed data transfer are priorities in Bluetooth 4.0
Low-power consumption could come in handy for electronics such as pedometers and glucose monitors. Obviously you do not want to keep charging and replacing batteries every few months. Bluetooth’s power consumption will be so minute that the battery can last years. Mobile phones and PCs can definitely use the low-power consumption as well as high speed data transfer rates. In addition, another cumbersome limitation of the current Bluetooth technology is the 30 foot range rule, however Bluetooth 4.0 will make that limits of 200 feet and higher.

Dell Precision M4500 now shipping with $1,549 starting price

With specs and prices easily reaching into the stratosphere, we weren’t quite sure where Dell’s new 15-inch Precision M4500 workstation would land — the 17-inch M6500 has a starting price of $1,799, but that’s only after $310 of “instant savings.”

Well, it looks like we’re getting off (relatively) easy with the M4500, with a Core i5-520M 2.5GHz model running for $1,549 and still managing to pack in those NVIDIA Quadro FX 880M Graphics.

Of course, we imagine you’ll quickly be running up that bill — 2GB of slow RAM, a 1366 x 768 LCD, and no WiFi just aren’t going to cut it — but with tempting options like a secondary 64GB SSD minicard drive and the ever-frivilous Precision ON, it’s not like we were sticking near that base price anyway.
