I'd just like to point out that #6 isn't a mod at all. Not to the console anyway. He's using the Internet Channel to view a PHP page running on his home computer/server. Every time he clicks a button with the Wii, it sends POST data to the PHP script which (coupled with some more computer magic he wrote and runs on his home computer) lets him control devices in his house.

Of course, the wizardry is far more complex than that (and my understanding of it fades rapidly as soon as it leaves the PHP script), but the point is that if he pulled up the same page on his computer, or a friend's laptop (any machine, not just the Wii) he would have the same control. It's not mod.

Who says all gamers do is sit around and play video games. Looks like several here may have a BEAMING future in industrial controls.
