Thoof is an interested new site I found. The site is a hub for all things news. The news is submitted by users and then uses a “personalization algorithm” to provide users with news that would be like by the individual and preferences.

Signup was easy. Just enter your email address. That’s it. Now you can submit news and read news towards your preferences.

There are 7 sections.
Homepage where the news is posted.
Click a star and add it to your favorite section for later viewing.
History of what you clicked on.
Submit button to submit your own news.
Recent activity of the latest news posts.
FAQ for questions that are asked.
And Blog that talks about the latest new features Thoof provides.

Now when I first heard of this service it reminded me of Digg. While there are similarities both being user generated news sites, Digg post articles that are most popular to the masses while Thoof personalized the news to the individual.

Thoof has a chance to really take off. And I see a lot of potential in the site. It could be the next Digg or StumbleUpon.
